Cobra Nationals 2005Cobra Car Club of Queensland is one of the largest and fastest growing car clubs in Australia. It has been up and running now for almost 13 years and has over 250 members including husbands/wives/partners. Many of the activities are family orientated and the club encourages involvement from family and friends.

Although it’s the Cobra Car Club, we actively encourage owners of GT40's & Daytona Coupe's to join. We have many GT40 & Daytona Coupe owners as members.

The Club is a very busy one, catering to a number of different interests relating to the Cobras. Just some of the activities that the club gets involved in:

  • Monthly Breakfast Meetings, Club Outing
  • Regular Run and restaurant activities
  • Annual Christmas in July weekend
  • Regular Racing: Saturday Afternoon Sprints(Queensland Raceway), Top Gear(Queensland Raceway), A Series Sprints(Morgan Park), Drags(Queensland Raceway) etc.
  • Annual Social AGM Meeting
  • Trips to Interstate Events such as Cobra Nationals(Goulburn) & Shelby Fest(Winton).
  • Technical Presentations
  • Car Shows
  • Shed Runs

The club has a monthly breakfast meeting. Currently held at "the Glen" from 8am on the LAST Sunday of each month. Anybody that is interested in joining the club is more than welcome to drop in. Or if you are just interested in seeing the vehicles, you are more than welcome. We regularly get more than 30 Cobra's attending each breakfast. With also a handful of GT40's & Daytona's, it makes for an amazing spectacle.

Membership also includes:

  • Delivered copy of "Snaketales" National Club Magazine. It is a monthly publication, which contains updates from various Cobra Car Clubs around Australia, articles of interest etc.
  • Membership Card(required for many inter-club events)
  • Full access to the club web site.
  • Pool of knowledge to assist in building and maintaining your Cobra. Membership is a must if you are building or contemplating building a Cobra as advice is gladly offered by club members on all aspects of Cobra ownership.

Membership costs:

  • 1st year is $85(includes $20 once only joining fee).
  • renewals are $65 per year

Everyone is made to feel welcome and we are well known for a friendly atmosphere. Ownership is not essential, if you have an enthusiasm for Cobra's and related vehicles, then we would love you to join. So what are you waiting for.
